Heavy Metal Concert Poster (1970s–present)
The metal poster tradition draws on fantasy illustration, gothic lettering, and a visual rhetoric of extreme imagery — skulls, flames, dragons, and screaming figures. Roger Dean's impossible landscapes, Boris Vallejo's heroic figures, and the lettering of Ed Benguiat twisted into thorned blackletter all feed a genre that is genuinely its own visual world: maximalist, dark, and proud to be too much.
Tone may not suit all events — excellent for gigs, use with knowing humour for family events
