Classical marble busts, corrupted Windows 95 UI elements, Japanese katakana, and Greco-Roman architecture floating in a grid of pastel neon — vaporwave aestheticized the nostalgia for a corporate digital future that never quite arrived. Oceanic gradients from cyan to magenta, glitch text, and the uncanny quality of things rendered in obsolete software. Melancholy optimism for a simulated utopia.
