Soviet Space Programme (1957–1975)
From Sputnik to the Moon race, Soviet space posters celebrated cosmonaut heroism with specific visual language: rocket silhouettes against star fields, heroic figures in pressure suits, orbital diagrams as decorative geometry. More optimistic and forward-looking than general Soviet propaganda — these are images of the actual future, not ideological present — and they have aged into something genuinely beautiful.
