Skateboard / Street Graphics (1980s–present)

Jim Phillips' screaming hand logo, VCJ's Santa Cruz board graphics, and Pushead's Thrasher illustrations established a visual vocabulary for skateboarding: weird cartoon anatomy, eyeballs and skulls in psychedelic settings, horror-comedy hybrids with heavy outline and vivid colour. The graphic tradition of youth cultures that perform transgression as identity — simultaneously menacing and absurd.

May not suit conservative audiences — excellent for youth-focused or alternative events
